Steel and glass healthcare facility seen from a sharp low angle

Healthcare Construction. Precisely Executed.

Request a Consultation

A construction partner specializing in complex renovations and capital improvements for skilled nursing, rehabilitation and healthcare facilities.

In healthcare construction, the building doesn't simply shut down while the work gets done.

Residents remain in place. Staff need to work. Life-safety systems must remain operational. Infection-control standards must be maintained.

That's where Dihedral excels.

001 / Built for Healthcare

Healthcare construction requires more than traditional general contracting.

Our teams plan around residents, staff, clinical operations, life-safety requirements and regulatory inspections from the beginning of the project through final turnover.

Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation

Renovations and capital improvements including resident rooms, nursing stations, therapy areas, dining spaces, bathing suites, common areas and building infrastructure.

Healthcare & Clinical Environments

Construction and renovation of clinical environments requiring careful coordination of MEP systems, life-safety systems, infection-control measures and facility operations.

Preconstruction

Detailed budgeting, constructability review, phasing, scheduling and logistics planning before construction begins.

Occupied-Facility Construction

Phased construction strategies designed to minimize disruption and allow facilities to continue operating throughout the project.

002 / Selected Work

Facilities that stayed open while we built.

Mill Run Health & Rehabilitation Center

3399 Mill Run Drive, Hilliard, OH 43026
Scope
Resident wing and common-area renovation
Facility Status
Occupied during construction

The Challenge

Resident rooms, corridors and shared spaces required a full refresh while the wing stayed fully censused, with no acceptable interruption to care routines or egress.

The Solution

Work was broken into room-by-room and corridor segments, with temporary barriers, negative-air containment and daily coordination with nursing leadership on access and quiet hours.

The Result

The wing was turned over in sequenced phases with continuous resident occupancy and no loss of licensed bed availability.

003 / How We Work

01

Understand the Facility

Before construction begins, we study the building, existing systems, facility operations and project objectives.

02

Plan the Work

We develop the budget, schedule, logistics and phasing strategy around the specific conditions of the facility.

03

Build With Control

Our field teams coordinate construction with facility leadership while maintaining required safety, infection-control and operational protocols.

04

Deliver

Testing, inspections, punch-list completion, documentation and turnover are managed through final project closeout.

004 / Safety & Compliance

Healthcare construction demands an elevated level of planning and accountability.

Dihedral's project teams incorporate applicable infection-control, life-safety, OSHA and facility-specific requirements into project planning and execution. Current EMR, TRIR and OSHA recordable figures are documented and provided on request as part of prequalification.

  • ICRA planning, containment and negative-air monitoring
  • Interim life-safety measures and documented system cutovers
  • OSHA-compliant site controls and daily field coordination
  • Survey-ready documentation through final closeout

005 / Leadership

Yona Grossman
Principal

Yona Grossman leads Dihedral Construction, directing preconstruction, field operations and client relationships across the firm's skilled nursing and healthcare portfolio. His background is in occupied-facility renovation work, where construction has to be sequenced around census, clinical schedules, life-safety systems and regulatory survey cycles rather than around the crew.

That experience shapes how Dihedral scopes projects: budgets and phasing plans are built with facility administrators and directors of nursing at the table, and field teams are held to infection-control and life-safety protocols as strictly as to schedule. Yona remains directly involved in project planning and turnover on Dihedral engagements, and is the point of contact for owners evaluating a renovation, expansion or capital improvement program.
